FOOD LIST

Why does everything taste better when you cook it outside? We don't have answers to deep, philosophical questions like these. What we do have is a list of outdoor-friendly food and drink.

Overnight Food List

Bread, cereal, rice and pasta:
  • Bagels
  • Sandwich breads
  • Granola
  • Hotdog buns
  • Oatmeal
  • Crackers
  • Pasta
  • Breakfast cereal
  • Instant rice
  • Pocket bread
Prepared foods:
  • Pancake mix (the kind that just needs water)
  • Prepared meals (like pasta dishes, stews, soups and salads, precooked chicken)
Sweets:
  • Honey
  • Syrup
  • Marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate bars (you see where this is going, don't you?)
  • Cookies
Fruits and vegetables:
  • Jelly/jam
  • Fresh and dried fruit (apples, bananas, peaches, etc.)
  • Raisins
  • Carrots and celery sticks
  • Corn on the cob
  • Bell peppers
  • Cauliflower and broccoli pieces
  • Whole cucumber or zucchini
  • Olives
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Potatoes
Meat, poultry, dry beans and, nuts:
  • Bacon/sausage
  • Jerky
  • Peanut butter
  • Hot dogs
  • Lunch meats in sealed bags
  • Dried/roasted nuts
Drinks:
  • Instant Coffee
  • Hot chocolate mix (the kind that just needs water)
  • Fruit juices

  • Canned/bottled drinks
Milk and cheese:
  • Dehydrated milk
  • Hard cheeses
Condiments and spices:
  • Salsa

  • Pickles/relish
