SILVER FALLS STATE PARK

Al Faussett Days
Jul 10, 2004 - Jul 11, 2004 at Silver Falls State Park.

Al Faussett's 1928 plunge over 177-foot South Falls in a canvas canoe is commemorated each year. Sponsored by the Friends of Silver Falls. This year, the event will feature:
  • An old-fashioned pie social – buy a delicious homemade pie!
  • A look at life in Silver Falls City.
  • Living history demonstrations.
  • Old-fashioned games.
  • Commentary by Mike Faussett, whose grandfather took the now legendary plunge over South Falls in 1928.

This park charges a day-use fee to people who aren't camping in a state park. The fee is $3 per vehicle (or buy a 12- or 24-month pass).
