VISITOR TALES: ECOLA STATE PARK

Dear OPRD,

Here are the Visitor's Tales for Ecola State Park.

On my return from the beach at Indian Beach I encountered a rabbit along the trail eating foliage. I took a quick picture and tried to move closer. As I got nearer he retreated further up the trail and stopped to lay down. While he was resting he rolled over on his back and squirmed around in the same fashion a dog does to scratch his back. As I tried to get closer he moved further up the trail and repeated his action. After a little while he tired of entertaining me and hopped off the trail into the thick brush to disappear.
