Here are the Visitor's Tales for LaPine State Park.
Folks, we just returned from a week long vacation around Oregon. We sought out Oregon State Parks as part of our plan for the trip and really enjoyed ourselves because of it. We spent 2 days at Nehalem Bay State Park, one day at Washburne State Park, one day at Cape Blanco State Park, a day at Oregon Caves National Monument (link opens a new browser window), and one day at LaPine State Park.
The Parks and Rec employees as well as the camp hosts were very friendly, professional and helpful. The parks themselves were clean and accommodating of our large group (two families in tents). Our trip did not include a rigid itinerary, and in scouting for campgrounds, we visited several private, Corps, and Forest Service camp areas.
By far, the Oregon State Parks campgrounds were the best. And the day-use State Parks were the best stops over several commercial or private areas. Great job. We were all impressed and plan to include Oregon State Parks in our future travel plans to your state.

While travelling along I-97 from Walla Walla, WA to CA, I discovered La Pine State Park. Felt very safe here with good, clean facilities and a quiet campground. Shared my dinner with a chipmunk and a couple of jays and in the morning made a pot of espresso at my campsite. Overall I give the State of OR high marks for its Park System.

We just stayed a weekend at Emigrant Springs this weekend and rented cabins there. Everything was very clean and nice there. The only suggestion I can make is the need for restrooms at the upper level by the cabins.

Thank you for the ability to voice comments.
All in all, it was a good experience there.

Each year our family heads out of town for Easter weekend. This year we
chose La Pine State Park. We rented all five cabins for our group of
seventeen family members. This was the first visit to this park for all of
us. The cabins were great! Nice and clean and cozy. Cabin #5 was home base
because of the little patio the picnic table was on and the ramp up to the
porch for the kids to run up and down. We had an Easter egg hunt and a
birthday party this weekend! Oh, I cant forget to mention the horseshoe
tournament. My 12 year old spent the majority of his time trying to get as
close as he could to the little critters who would pop their heads out of
their burrows in the field. The trail around the campground and throughout
the park was perfect for mountain biking. We saw two bald eagles and a
weasel by the river. We will be back for sure! Oh, and Jerry(I think that
was his name) was a very friendly camp host. Thanks for a great weekend.
