Here are the Visitor's Tales for Alfred A. Loeb State Park.
Our trip to Loeb in August was picture-perfect. We and some friends stayed in two of the new cabins overlooking the Chetco River and the kids loved it. We had a hard time pulling them from the nice little wading area there. I actually got to sneak out in the wee hours one morning and do some fishing (it's been a while). I didn't catch anything, but saw hundreds of newts.
With the fresh scent of the myrtle trees, this has got to be one of the best-smelling parks we've ever been to. We took off one day and played on the surf at Harris Beach. It was great. Thanks.

We spent two weeks in the Oregon cabins at Loeb, Umqua and Cape Blanco. It was a toss-up which we liked better between Loeb and Umqua. Both parks are absolutely beautiful. We are planning a trip in August of 2000 and plan to return to Umpqua - hopefully, we can hit Loeb also. I would highly recommend either of these campgrounds.
